How overjoyed they were by the call made by the terrorist leader in İmralı on February 27, and what conclusions they drew from it.
They claimed he wanted the PKK to dissolve itself and lay down its arms... that he had abandoned the dream of a separate state, federation, or autonomy... and that he had demonstrated a will to integrate with the state and society, and so on.
Yet, the so-called "roadmap" that the terrorist leader announced in 2009 through his lawyers, "to break the status quo" was not much different from what he is saying today, albeit with a bit more dressing up.
For example, when he spoke of a "common homeland," he stated that he did not mean a homeland belonging to a single nation, but rather a"pluralistic, democratic, integrative" homeland that encompasses everyone...
He stated that the roadmap does not contain the classical approaches of liberalism or Marxism-socialism, and that he advocates for the 'construction of a democratic society'...
And furthermore, Perhaps because he saw that 'Barzani and Talabani were intended to be placed at the head of the Kurds,' he emphasized that he did not want a separate state, a federal or confederal system, but rather a social consensus, and assigned the Kurds a mission such as 'taking on the modernization of the Middle East and becoming the key to a democratic breakthrough'...
Beyond the unrealistic statements regarding the emergence of the PKK and the slanders against the Republic in the terrorist leader's latest statement, what else was there? The following:
'Separate nation-states, federations, administrative autonomy, and culturalist solutions have failed to respond to historical social sociology... The need for a democratic society... Democratic consensus... Respect for identities, allowing them to express themselves freely and organize in a democratic sense... Crowning the second century of the Republic with democracy.'
And also; 'For integration with the state and society, convene your congress and make a decision; all groups must lay down their arms and the PKK must dissolve itself.' call.
Did he say, "I am dissolving the PKK. Lay down your arms"? No, he requested that the congress be convened and those decisions be made.
He tied this to a condition that he read in a video, but which was made to be stated by Sırrı Süreyya Önder at the last minute in the Imralı delegation's statement:
"The laying down of arms and the dissolution of the PKK require the recognition of democratic politics and the legal dimension."
Even though a child who can read and write would understand what this means, the conditions—which the DEM members tried to camouflage as a "necessity" rather than a "condition"—began to emerge.
Such as establishing a secretariat for the terrorist leader... ensuring his participation in the PKK congress... and making certain simultaneous democratic and legal arrangements.
It was not only DEM members like Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Selahattin Demirtaş, or the terrorist leaders in Qandil like Mustafa Karasu, but also pro-government columnists who understood these "necessities" in this way.
Some, while providing the information that "the organization's demand for Öcalan to direct the congress is not found to be realistic, nor is it legally possible," added that "however, it is pointed out that there are different ways for Öcalan's ideas to be reflected in the congress." they added.
Others made the following predictions for the period after the PKK dissolves itself and lays down its arms:
"A software update will be inevitable across the broadest spectrum of society, from politicians to the security and judicial bureaucracy, and from the media to academic circles... Whatever happens in a legal sense will take place on the floor of the TBMM and will be transparent. Controlled steps will be taken for effective remorse and returning home, according to the conditions of the day and the nation's capacity to digest them... The situations of individuals with problematic political and judicial records, primarily Selahattin Demirtaş, in prison will be re-evaluated when the day comes."
As is known, instead of dissolving itself and laying down arms, the PKK took a so-called ceasefire decision as of March 1. According to some, this was the 7th, and according to others, the 9th so-called ceasefire decision.
Erdoğan frequently says, "A Muslim is not bitten from the same hole twice." suffice it to remind you of what he said, and let us turn to the architect of the latest opening, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli.
PRAISE A WEEK AGO
In the message he published on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, one day after the terrorist leader's call, "How happy we are that we are on the threshold of a blessed era in which false discrimination, artificial disagreements, polarization, and misunderstandings will be completely uprooted and cast out of our national life." Bahçeli, whose statement drew attention, also praised the terrorist leader and Qandil in his statement on March 1, when the PKK declared a so-called ceasefire, as follows:
"The PKK terrorist organization, which aims to establish a greater Kurdistan within a Marxist-Leninist framework, has been called upon by its founding leader after 47 years to dissolve its organizational structure. The statements made from Qandil are supportive and complementary to this call, and indeed, they are gratifying. The fact that the ringleaders of the PKK terrorist organization in Qandil have rallied around Imralı and embraced the February 27 call is, at this stage we have reached, organizational consistency and is to everyone's benefit... The MHP is grateful on behalf of the noble Turkish nation to anyone who makes a sincere contribution to the goal of a Turkey without terrorism and who supports the democratization process without preconditions."
In the same statement, Bahçeli accused those who criticized the terrorist leader's call and asked, "What was given? What was received?" with the following expressions:
"Those who try to sabotage the steps toward peace... Those who carry water to the mill of separatism... Subcontracted, anti-national mentalities that profit from the continuation of terror's bloody attacks... Circles that are so dried up and rotten in mind, heart, intellect, and conscience that they do not know the state does not negotiate..."
THE IMRALI MURDERER-TERRORIST LEADER HAS BECOME THE 'FOUNDING LEADERSHIP'
Exactly one week after that statement, what happened yesterday?
The same Bahçeli, arguing that the February 27 Imrali call clearly binds the PKK along with all other extensions and groups, responded to the claim that the YPG and similar terrorist entities were exempt from this call by saying, "This baseless view is completely contradictory to the nature of the organizational and founding leadership. The one who founded the terrorist organization has requested its dissolution." with these words.
Continuing, "playing for time, muddying the waters, stalling" he drew attention to those who want to do these things, characterizing the demands for the "recognition of democratic politics and the legal dimension" included in the terrorist leader's call as "obliviousness," while calling those who open the definition of Turkish citizenship to debate "fair-weather opportunists."
Ultimately, he declared that the PKK's ceasefire announcement was "neither correct, balanced, nor accurate," and emphasized the following:
"The PKK terrorist organization and its affiliated groups must immediately and unconditionally lay down their arms, and indeed surrender their bloody weapons to the Republic of Turkey... The separatist terrorist organization must act in support of the founding leadership's February 27 call, part ways with arms without putting forward any conditions, and terminate its organizational existence... For this reason, compliance and commitment to the historic call made by İmralı on February 27 are mandatory for the PKK, as well as its other extensions and affiliated organizations. The goal of a Turkey without terrorism must be realized immediately, and terrorism must be uprooted from our lives. Otherwise, whoever carries illegal weapons will pay the price in the harshest way possible."
Since Bahçeli, the architect of the process, has thus put an end to both the "conditions" of the terrorist leader and the "requirements" voiced by the DEM members, the PKK, and other proponents of the opening, there is no need for a DEM delegation to go to İmralı again, is there?
On the other hand, the İmralı delegation is scheduled to visit the CHP today, and the MHP and AKP on March 17. In this case, since "political and legal regulations" will not be discussed during these visits, excuse me, but will they be playing backgammon or dancing the 'halay'?!
