Let's hope he isn't nominated for a Nobel Prize too!...

As a nation, we have aged another year. After MHP leader Bahçeli elevated the terrorist leader in Imralı, who is responsible for the deaths of 40,000 of our people, to the status of a "founding leader" and deemed him worthy of the title "coordinator of the peace process and politicization," he has now emphasized that this title is his "right."

Why has he earned it? Because of the "consistent and valuable statements" he made between February 27, 2025, and February 27, 2026!..

Despite the tons of conditions set by Imralı, Qandil, and DEM, Bahçeli may be believing that the terrorist leader has kept his "word," dissolved the PKK, and laid down arms, and thus he wants him to be granted the status of "coordinator"—in other words, to sit at the table officially as soon as possible. Fine, but when the opening process was initiated, wasn't the only promise made to the terrorist leader that he would benefit from the "right to hope"? So where did this come from? Clearly, the caravan is being sorted on the road; they are moving forward by getting everyone used to it step by step!..

While the MHP leader was saying these things, he both stated, "There is no turning back in the fight against terrorism... As the MHP, our word is our bond... We have no turning back," and noted that this was a "state policy."

Let us clarify this "state policy" matter.

While the AKP wing argues that the opening process began with Erdoğan's call to "fortify the internal front" in Malazgirt on August 26, 2024, and was completed with Bahçeli's call to the terrorist leader in Parliament on October 22, saying, "Dissolve the organization, benefit from the right to hope," the MHP wing has been giving the biggest credit to Bahçeli, explaining that "thanks to his visionary leadership, the phenomenon of a terror-free Turkey has been adopted as a state policy."

Of course, there is also the MIT dimension to the event. It must have been MIT, not Devlet Bahçeli, that he was referring to, as the terrorist leader kept saying, "We are not discussing a democratic legal solution with the AKP members, but with the state."

Indeed, Cengiz Çandar of the DEM Party—whom Bahçeli once said, "We know who he works for and whose agency he runs," but with whom he now poses for photos—claimed the other day that "there is no intermediary between the state and Öcalan, that Öcalan is meeting directly with state officials," and even that "the PKK leadership is also holding direct talks with the state."

It is impossible not to recall Bahçeli's words regarding MIT, which also conducted the negotiations during the first opening process.

For example, he used expressions such as, "Making MIT the carrier and accelerator of the process of betrayal from the very beginning is a blunder that cannot be forgiven," and "The intelligence agency, which shuttles between Imralı and Qandil under the instruction of Prime Minister Erdoğan and which also bears the title of 'national,' has performed more than ever to drag Turkey into a vortex, and unfortunately, it has spent its working hours leading Turkey toward collapse and continues to do so."

He opposed the changes to the MIT Law with words such as: "Just as it has been done to many state institutions by the AKP, which puts itself in the place of the state, MIT is also being transformed and completely tied to the Prime Minister; the organization is being elevated to the status of a 'state within a state'... If the proposal becomes law, the name of the new MIT Law will be the 'Terror Negotiation Law'," and "MIT, which should be the eyes and ears of the state, has embarked on the mission of being Tayyip Erdoğan's private organization, and appears to be engaged in activities in a direction that contradicts its national character, its founding mission, and its history."

FROM COORDINATORSHIP TO CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT

In the first year of the process, Bahçeli threw down the gauntlet, saying, "Those who say the state is bargaining are slanderers."

Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş also said last July regarding the PKK law that was passed, "80 percent of the process is behind us."

If the PKK had dissolved itself and the terrorists had laid down their arms, what was supposed to happen after the law? It was for the terrorists, who were assumed not to have committed crimes, to come and surrender within 6 months following the determination of this situation by the National Security Council (MGK) and other security institutions.

But what is being discussed now? The start of efforts toward the politicization of the PKK under the coordination of the terrorist leader, even before the MGK confirmation has arrived... Yet, it is obvious that the PKK has not laid down its arms and that what is called "dissolution" is nothing more than taking on the name of a "movement."

How do we know? From the statement the PKK made four days ago under the name of "movement management." What did they say?

Reporting that they had "completely withdrawn their forces within Turkey" and also that they had "emptied the 4 war tunnels and positions in Metina, even if they were far from the border," they demanded that the necessary steps be taken for the terrorist leader to be "liberated" and for the "Kurdish issue to be resolved through democratic and political means."

In other words, they are waiting with weapons in hand!..

Let us convey what they are waiting for from the mouths of the DEM members.

Co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan, in a TV program he attended at the beginning of the week, pointed to November for the PKK to lay down arms and stated that the process was in the "first stage," while offering a "favor" such as "the speaking, reading, and writing of Kurdish does not mean that Turkish is not the official language!.."

In the parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday, he emphasized that "democratic rights must be recognized and legal guarantees must be provided" in exchange for laying down arms, and said, "Advancing the peace process will also pave the way for a true brotherhood contract." In other words, he demanded a new constitution.

Ahmet Türk, the former Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor who was replaced by a trustee, identified our citizens of Kurdish origin with the PKK and claimed that "the Kurds have fulfilled every duty and responsibility that fell to them," but that "the state has not taken any steps," and said, "The issue is not just weapons. The people have demands, longings, and expectations. For years, they have been struggling to ensure a free, democratic environment. They are making efforts for this struggle to conclude and reach success."

Finally, Cengiz Çandar said that regarding the future of the process, Article 66 of the Constitution concerning the definition of citizenship and Article 42 concerning education in the mother tongue are important, and that if Erdoğan gives his word in this direction, the matter could be evaluated.

Let us also look at the AKP wing.

Efkan Ala, one of the main actors of the first opening process, the then-Minister of Interior and current AKP Deputy Chairman, admitted at the academic year opening ceremony of Uludağ University on Thursday that the two processes were actually no different, except for the first one being "sabotaged." Regarding the period after the liquidation of the terrorist organization and the complete surrender of weapons, he gave a message of a "civil society contract," that is, a "civil constitution," by saying, "More democracy does no harm to anyone; on the contrary, it is beneficial to everyone."

Furthermore, as if people were not being detained and arrested every day in the country for their thoughts, writings, and drawings, he emphasized that "everyone should be able to express their thoughts freely" regarding the new constitution, and noted the following:

"Let everyone come to the table and express their thoughts freely. We will put aside the issues we cannot agree on, put forward a text on the issues we agree on, and prepare a constitution... We say that every young person, every academic, and every citizen in this country has equal rights. Then let us guarantee this with a text we will prepare... Let us create an environment together where thoughts are cleansed of fears... If one of our fundamental problems is the goal of a 'Terror-free Turkey,' another is to strengthen freedoms and democracy."

Since AKP Deputy Chairman Ala said that the two processes were not different, let us recall the reaction shown by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli after the Dolmabahçe agreement, in which he also took part. He said;

"Claiming that the PKK will lay down its arms, and trying to console and stall the nation in this way, is an unconsciousness that cannot be repaired... The PKK will not bury its weapons or lower its barrels without fully achieving its treacherous goals. Anyone who claims otherwise is either without honor or is a wretch who has had his mind and logic seized... No one has heard that the PKK has given up on everything, has been reformed, or will show remorse and surrender to justice... Öcalan's fabrication of democratic politics is a shroud tailored for Turkish democracy... His delusion regarding the legal and democratic guarantees of free citizenship is a harbinger of fragmentation. His reference to a pluralistic democratic understanding regarding the concept, definition, and defining of identity is a clear preparation for the registration of 'Turkiyelilik' (being of Turkey) and is a disgrace of erasing the Turkish identity. The baseness of defining the Republic, the common homeland, and the nation with democratic criteria will also mean the dissolution of the Republic of Turkey with its state and nation and its removal from the stage of history... The new constitution proposal, which aims to internalize the so-called democratic moves and transformations of the baby killer, is a pass given to Erdoğan and moral support for the presidential system."

WHOSE RIGHT?

As is known, in the US, the execution of former Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 people and injured more than 20 at a military base 17 years ago to "protest the US presence in Afghanistan," by a "firing squad in military uniform" rather than an electric chair or lethal injection, and furthermore, the live broadcast of this execution, is being debated. Trump also said, "If you broadcast it, maybe other people won't do what he did," and that he would make the final decision himself.

What are we talking about? That "coordinatorship" is the terrorist leader's "right"!..

What kind of "right" is this? Is it the "right" to have a new "solution table" set up with the same lies after having 40,000 of our people killed and making Turkey pay a "terror bill" of 2.3 billion dollars?..

Hopefully, they won't ask for the terrorist leader to be given a Nobel Peace Prize as well!..
