Second Sinan Ateş case alarm!..

You know how the terrorist leader—who is currently attempting to establish a new “republic/state” from his “headquarters” in İmralı by saying, “We are at the beginning of a democratization process as important as the founding of the Republic,” and who has been granted a status—escaped/was saved from execution.

First, the death penalty was not sent to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) and was kept waiting at the Prime Ministry... A few years later, the death penalty was abolished entirely.

One of the partners of the ANASOL-M coalition government of the time, which signed off on these actions, was the MHP.

While the abolition of the death penalty was being discussed in the TBMM Constitutional Commission, some AKP members submitted a motion to exclude the terrorist leader from the scope. However, the motion was rejected by the votes of MHP deputies themselves.

One of the figures who strongly reacted to the process and the course of events was the late MHP İçel Deputy Ali Güngör. Because of this, he was expelled from the party. Revealing his meeting with Bahçeli during those days years later, Güngör stated that he had said, “If we say 'yes' to these, neither the nation, nor MHP members, nor idealists (ülkücüler) will forgive us,” and that Bahçeli had replied, “Ali Ağa, they will forget, don't worry.”

Exactly 25 years after what Ali Güngör experienced; when Devlet Bahçeli made a call for the terrorist leader on October 22, saying, “Let him come and speak in the Parliament, let him shout that the organization has been dissolved. Let the way be opened wide for him to benefit from the right to hope,” a second Güngör crisis erupted in the MHP.

Ali Güngör's son, Oğuzhan Güngör, was an advisor in the MHP TBMM Group. Publishing a 4-page letter addressed to Bahçeli on his social media account following this call, Oğuzhan Güngör asked the following questions regarding how this point was reached in 21 days after what was said about the HDP, the political extension of the terrorist organization, until recently: “Why did all this happen? What is the meaning of all this? Who is responsible? Where are we going from here? What else will happen to my homeland and my nation?”

Referring to the speech his father made in Parliament against saving the terrorist leader from execution, Oğuzhan Güngör said, “If the right to hope for the baby killer is still being discussed now, I say by shouting like my father that it is not possible under any circumstances for idealists to accept this situation,” and concluded his letter with the following statements:

“As someone who lost his mother and father to cancer, who feels ashamed of himself and embarrassed before the children of martyrs while crying alone, and who feels ashamed when thinking of the children and parents of martyrs, I say this: If there is a right here, this right is the supreme Turkish Nation's right to hold those who betray it, its legacy, and its trust accountable forever. This right belongs to the child, mother, father, and spouse of my martyr. Our veteran Parliament, which was created with deprivation, determination, and the tears of this nation, and which has been made sacred, is not a place for any filth to be cleansed, nor can it be a podium to splash its impurity onto the nation... We are neither so helpless nor so cowardly as to watch the biggest baby killer be taken as an interlocutor in our veteran Parliament, as if to rival the Newborn gang that murdered babies. We, the owners of this cause, will not allow this.”

Right after this letter, he suffered the same fate as his father; he was dismissed from his position in the MHP. Following this, he made the following statement:

“Those who can commit to giving the baby killer the right to hope and propose that he speak in our supreme Parliament, and those who can applaud this, have been disturbed by a Turkish nationalist saying what needs to be said. I accept the price of saying that the baby killer cannot pollute our veteran Parliament with honor, as a son of the beloved Turkish Nation and with the pride of being Ali Güngör's son. In defiance of those who are ready to give everything for position and personal ambition, I will continue on my path without bowing down and without pursuing personal ambition, just as I did yesterday. Because this is the foundation of the ideology that inspires me and millions of Turkish nationalists who are lovers of the homeland and the state. Turkish nationalism has emerged from the bosom of the Turkish Nation and belongs solely to it. Idealism (Ülkücülük) is a legacy to us from the Başbuğ and many martyrs. We will continue to defend our nation and our ideal for our past and our future until only one person remains.”

“SHOOT HIM DOWN”

Why did we remind you of these?

After his open letter to Bahçeli, threats started coming to Oğuzhan Güngör. These threats increased even more during the process of the PKK law being discussed and accepted in the TBMM Justice Commission.

Information even arrived that an order to “shoot him down” was given.

However, Oğuzhan Güngör, who is currently the deputy chairman responsible for İYİ Party Organization Coordination, did not care about these threats. That is, until a tip-off letter, reportedly sent to the police, indicating that an attack would be carried out against him when he went out of Ankara for a program 10 days ago.

The allegations spoken in the backstages regarding what Oğuzhan Güngör experienced are as follows:

The tip-off letter in question was sent to the Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, and Mersin police departments. Upon this, Oğuzhan Güngör was contacted in the province he visited and was brought to Ankara under police escort. Güngör, who was met by the police here and dropped off at his home, went to the police station the next day, again under police escort, and gave a statement. Güngör was asked whether he had received threats and whom he suspected. Following his statement, he was assigned two close protection officers.

Let us also convey a remarkable post Oğuzhan Güngör made on his social media account during those days when the police were on alert. He wrote the following:

“Messages are pouring in from the children, mothers, and fathers of martyrs. When I reacted to the statement made on October 22, 2024, a person devoid of honor had said, 'Do you even have a martyr in your family?' I have many martyrs in my family. They are all my older brothers, my older sisters. They are all my family. They are all my siblings. I have chosen my side. Orders have been given! Let them be given! When you were beaten and took refuge in our home, my mother cleaned your blood! We do not hide behind anyone. Behind us is Allah! He knows best!”

In short; freedom and democracy (!) are supposedly going to come to our country thanks to the vast ideas and projects of the terrorist leader; well, this is how it comes!..
