The mind of our State... The US Deep State's plan from 9 years ago!..

In an article titled "The Greater Middle East Project and Turkey through the Lens of Economy," which is still available on our Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, the origins and timing of the project we all know as the GMEP are described as follows:

"The 'Greater Middle East and North Africa' (GME) initiative, adopted at the G-8 Summit held in the US in June 2004, constitutes the beginning of an important process in which the international community has made a long-term commitment to support the Middle East geography on the path to human development and democratization."

In the later sections of the article, Turkey's place in the project is explained with these expressions:

"Turkey has assumed the co-chairmanship of the Democracy Assistance Dialogue, established within the G-8 and aimed at strengthening the understanding of democracy in the region, together with Italy and Yemen, and this mechanism constitutes our country's first concrete contribution in the context of the GME at the current stage. Turkey also plays an active role in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) initiative established within the framework of the OECD, and carries out the co-chairmanship of the working group on tax reform and incentive laws together with Jordan."

We have seen what the GMEP actually is by living through it. What happened was a clearing of the area for Israel. They brought not human development to the Middle East geography, but massacre; not democracy, but terror. First, Iraq was drowned in blood and divided; then, in 2011, Libya and Syria followed simultaneously.

The Syrian regime, which resisted for 23 years with the support of Russia and Iran, was toppled yesterday in 11 days by other opposition groups led by HTS.

Years ago, ISIS's arrival from Mosul to Syria happened the same way. They marched with tanks and weapons, and no one stopped them. Then, the US created a "ground army" from PKK members under the pretext of fighting ISIS, and subsequently established an "autonomous" administration for them in northeastern Syria. That is how the de facto division of Syria began.

Initially, Ankara was also hand-in-hand with the PYD/YPG structure established by the terrorist leader in Imralı under the state's watch in Syria. PYD leader Salih Muslim was hosted in Turkey, and they smuggled the Tomb of Suleyman Shah out of ISIS territory together. It was only when the PYD/YPG refused to cooperate with Ankara against Assad that they were labeled a terrorist organization.

SOMEONE AS HAPPY AS ISRAEL

It is certain that Israel is the one most pleased by the fall of Damascus. But even they are so cautious that Israeli Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi pointed to the next target with the words, "What is really important is to see Iran's exit (from Syria)," and emphasized that everything has just begun by stating they want to "see what the local elements who have taken over the region are doing, how they are behaving, how they are being deterred, and to ensure that they do not get confused and turn in our direction."

Our side, however, is acting as if it is a wedding celebration. Especially the pro-government media. Syria has attained freedom after 61 years!.. Whether they have truly attained freedom or the gates of hell have been opened, we will see by living through it.

As for former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, one of the architects of the Syria policy and the refugee plague, there is no stopping him!..

He claims Assad is paying the price for not listening to us... If there is any success, it belongs to them, primarily Erdoğan... If they had stood by Assad, Turkey's reputation would have been destroyed along with Assad's collapsing statue right now... If photos of Erdoğan or himself, had he been in office, were burned, that would be the greatest price...

If only they would also take responsibility for the potential costs Turkey has been paying for 13 years and will continue to pay!..

CAN ONE SAY ''WE HAVE LEFT THE GMEP CO-CHAIRPERSONSHIP''?

Lest I forget, there is someone else who is happy. The spiritual son of the terrorist leader in Imralı, Trump's so-called general, the head of the US's "ground army" in Syria, the PKK's Mazlum Kobani. Describing the fall of Damascus as a "historic day," Kobani said, "This change is an opportunity for the construction of a new Syria based on democracy and justice that guarantees the rights of all Syrians."

Meanwhile, the pro-government media announced that the Syrian National Army has liberated some parts of Manbij, which is under PKK/YPG occupation... Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also stated that they are acting very carefully to ensure that DAESH and the PKK do not exploit this process, adding, "We are in contact with our American friends."

I hope the fall of the PKK/YPG will be as easy and fast as the Damascus administration!..

Regarding the point reached and the potential process ahead, our primary expectation is for our officials to say, "We are not in the GMEP, we have left the co-chairmanship."

THAT PLAN BY RAND

Continuing from where we left off in yesterday's article titled "Is Our Syria Plan Also 'Domestic and National'?", let us first underline this:

Last week, there was a NATO Foreign Ministers meeting in Brussels. Interestingly, King Abdullah II of Jordan also attended the meeting. NATO Secretary General Rutte said that the crisis in the Middle East and NATO-Jordan cooperation would be discussed in the first session with the participation of King Abdullah, and that a liaison office would be opened in Amman very soon.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the situation in Syria with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

The importance of Jordan is as follows:

First; as we mentioned at the beginning, it is the co-chair along with Turkey of the group established regarding the economic leg of the GMEP.

Second; the role assigned to Jordan in the plan that divides Syria into four, prepared in December 2015 by the famous think tank Rand Corporation, which serves the US Pentagon and the secret service, under the name "peace plan for Syria."

The journalist Saadet Oruç, who is still a Chief Advisor to Erdoğan, was the first to announce the plan in question with the headline "When Rand Corporation crosses the line." The reason Oruç used this expression was the suggestion that "The US should be the guarantor for the Syrian Kurdish region."

In this plan by Rand from 9 years ago, it was envisioned that Syria would be divided into the following four regions:

"First region; the southern regions of Damascus where regime forces are located, Homs, Tartus, Baniyas, and Latakia... Second region; the Kurdish region extending from east of Aleppo to Hasakah and Qamishli... Third region; the region including Daraa, Idlib, Aleppo, and Hama under opposition control... Fourth region; the region that will be placed under international administration with the removal of ISIS from the area."

According to the plan; while the US would provide the guarantee for the Kurdish region, Russia and Iran would act as guarantors for the region under regime control, and Turkey and Jordan would undertake the guarantee of the Sunni opposition region.

Let us also note that in the plan in question, a federation or confederation structure was proposed for the new state that would emerge, and the message that "the Kurdish region could be an ally to Turkey" was also given.

Saadet Oruç had ended her article with the assessment of "stillborn fantasies," but does the current course of events not show that this plan is largely being implemented under the table and that we have now entered the process of formalizing it?

Especially when MHP Leader Bahçeli has announced that he expects help from the terrorist leader in Imralı, and Prof. Mümtazer Türköne, whom Bahçeli got released from prison by calling him a "martyr's brother," has started walking around saying, "Turkey will become the patron of the Kurdish region in Rojava. This is the process called the solution process."!..
