The Place for the İmralı Transcript is the 'Trash Can'!..

Erdoğan, Bahçeli, and the PKK-Qandil leadership know what was discussed between the terrorist leader and the three members of parliament sent to him on behalf of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM); however, the remaining 589 members of parliament and the Turkish nation do not. This is because the 16-page transcript was condensed into 4 pages before being released.

When Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, the Group Deputy Chair who went to İmralı on behalf of the DEM Party, first explained the content of the meeting—which differed significantly from the transcript—to the PKK's voice, the Mesopotamia Agency, and later to Cansu Çamlıbel of T24, no one came forward to deny it. Only MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, after stating that "the messages of the PKK's founding leadership are reasonable, positive, credible, and definite," said—without naming Koçyiğit—that "making purposeful statements to the public contrary to this message, distorting the process, and muddying the clear water has no meaning or importance."

Another objection came from Abdülkadir Selvi, who acts as a spokesperson for the government. While telling the nation the fairy tale that "the PKK has laid down its arms," Selvi revealed that "legal regulations to be made in Parliament are awaited for the laying down of arms," and refuted Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit as follows:

"Koçyiğit said that Öcalan did not have a call for the SDF-YPG to lay down their arms, but this was not confirmed. It was even seen as an attempt to sabotage the process. In the coming days, Öcalan is expected to take on a greater role in this regard. We will see what these are in time."

THE STATE IS SILENT, THE MEDIA IS TALKING

A similar process is occurring regarding what Sözcü's Saygı Öztürk wrote five days ago about the İmralı meetings.

In summary, Öztürk reported that the terrorist leader, in addition to demanding "amnesty for PKK members, employment, the removal of obstacles to their political activities, education in the mother tongue, the recognition of Kurdish as an official language, and the amendment of the citizenship article of the Constitution," also requested that "the European Charter of Local Self-Government be fulfilled and local governments be strengthened," saying, "For example, a portion of the revenue generated from oil extracted in Kurdistan should be left to the local governments there."

The claim was very significant. Despite this, the MIT (National Intelligence Organization), which recorded the meeting, remained silent... TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, who reduced the 16-page transcript to 4 pages, remained silent... AKP's Hüseyin Yayman, MHP's Feti Yıldız, and DEM's Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, who went to İmralı, remained silent... Erdoğan, Bahçeli, and the DEM co-chairs remained silent... The Presidential Center for Combating Disinformation remained silent.

But look at who spoke on their behalf.

Naturally, first and foremost, Abdülkadir Selvi declared:

"There is no such thing in the İmralı meetings, nor did Öcalan make a statement in this direction. On the contrary, in his statement dated February 27, where he called on the PKK to lay down its arms and disband, Öcalan said, 'A separate nation-state, federation, administrative autonomy, and culturalist solutions do not provide an answer to historical social sociology'... So where do such reports come from? The goal here is clear. To provoke Turkish nationalism. To incite the Turkish public and thus throw a wrench into the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process."

Could Ahmet Hakan, whom Erdoğan praised for "doing what is necessary," stay quiet after Selvi said these things? After listing what Saygı Öztürk wrote, he noted the following:

"He asked for everything, didn't he? So where and when did Öcalan ask for these? He met with three members of the Parliamentary Commission in İmralı, right? Aha! That's where he asked. Who are the three members of the commission? AKP's Hüseyin Yayman, one. MHP's Feti Yıldız, two. DEM's Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, three. None of them have such a statement. No such information came from Yayman, Yıldız, or Koçyiğit. There is only one source, and that is Saygı Öztürk. The question that needs to be asked right here is: Could someone have played a prank on Saygı Öztürk?"

Another pro-government writer, Zafer Şahin, who characterized what Saygı Öztürk wrote as an operation by the "operation media," officially took on the task of "denial," saying, "There is no such demand or request. This claim is nothing more than a perception operation aimed at blocking the process. This is definitive information, let's spread it."

One final claim regarding the meeting came from Talat Atilla, Editor-in-Chief of Türktime, who hosts a program on Tv100. Atilla alleged that the terrorist leader instructed DEM's Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, "Gülistan, let's take a photo together," but that the photo could not be taken after MHP's Feti Yıldız reacted by saying, "No photos. Come on, we're leaving. Our meeting was already over..."

My curiosity is not, "If a historic task is being performed, why did they avoid taking a photo?" but this:

Did DEM's Koçyiğit enter the prison with a cell phone or a camera for the terrorist leader to ask her to take a photo? Or was he sending a message to the state officials present at the meeting, in the vein of "I'm telling you, my daughter, so that you, my daughter-in-law, may understand"?

I wish the relevant parties or authorities would explain this so we could learn the truth!..

THE BAHÇELİ-ÇANDAR CHAT

Let's come to another DEM member whose statements regarding the İmralı transcript are not being discussed at all.

There is no one who does not know or recognize Cengiz Çandar, whom Hasan Cemal calls "Cengo." Especially MHP leader Bahçeli.

Bahçeli, who declared those who attended the workshop organized by the Ministry of Interior's Police Academy during the first opening period—including Cengiz Çandar—as the "12 bad men," pointed out that "the same 12 were present in the Armenian, Cyprus, and European issues," and added:

"Those who have been visiting Syria, Qandil, and PKK centers for 25 years, meeting with them, and unilaterally supporting the PKK in Turkey, those who have never protected the national and spiritual values of the Turkish nation, are now coming into the group that will threaten the security of the state in the Minister of Interior's Kurdish opening project, and are trying to cause division in Turkey under the pretext of a democratic opening, giving them courage. They are trying to create a local model of the Kurdish opening. Oh you heedless ones, does this nation not know what you have been doing for 25 years?.. This nation is tired of listening to the 12 bad men. Are there no other intellectuals or politicians in Turkey? Are there no security forces or TSK (Turkish Armed Forces) in Turkey fighting this struggle?"

Cengiz Çandar had responded to Bahçeli with these expressions:

"There is a problem of language and style... I advocated for dialogue with him because I did not think he would act like a 'blood merchant'... Matching in lack of quality benefits no one... but 'hate speech' is problematic... Did the road leading to the murder of Hrant Dink not open with the demonstrations of Devlet Bahçeli's supporters?.. He is lighting the fuse to dynamite the road to 'internal peace' in the country... In any Western democracy, prosecution would be opened due to the discourse of someone like Devlet Bahçeli, and if this is a party policy, the closure of the party due to 'hate speech' and 'inciting racism' would be on the agenda... What have you been doing for 25 years? What good have you done for this country? Which foreign language have you learned in all these years? Have you gotten to know the outside world? Where, how, and with what honor have you represented our nation? The words 'Turk' and 'Turkish nation' are not your monopoly. They are no one's. You must learn this."

Those days have passed. Now, under the same roof of Parliament, they are fighting shoulder to shoulder for a new opening!..

In fact, Cengiz Çandar shared a photo they took together on December 9, when budget negotiations began in the TBMM General Assembly, saying, "Good signals regarding the process. A break moment during budget negotiations. A short and warm chat with Mr. Bahçeli, Mehmet Emin Ekmen, and Kani Torun."

However, one day after Bahçeli found the messages of the "founding leadership" to be "reasonable" and criticized Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit without naming her, and two days before that pose in the TBMM, Cengiz Çandar made the following statements to the Barzanis' Rudaw about the summary transcripts of İmralı:

"Parliament Speaker Numan Bey is making a decision on his own. That's what I know. He says, 'Let's publish a summary transcript.' And to publish a summary transcript, he gives this to one of the parliamentary bureaucrats. That is, this is a transcript from bureaucrats who have no political personality, he says, 'Extract a summary of this, let me publish the summary.' That person or persons, whoever they are, come up with such a text."

Furthermore, he claimed that the 16-page transcript signed by the three-person delegation that went to İmralı and the summary transcript did not match, and said:

"The summary transcript distributed in the commission should be thrown into the trash can. It has no value... It does not reflect the truth, and in some matters, especially regarding Rojava, Syria, and the SDF, there are sentences in the summary transcript that are capable of drawing conclusions exactly the opposite of what Abdullah Öcalan said and the answers he gave to the questions asked. These are not in the main transcript... When they interpret them in their own way and write them down in a way that can be drawn to other meanings, and say 'this is the summary,' Gülistan Koçyiğit said, 'No, there is no such thing, this is not true.' She made statements to the media... After the truth comes out, this is a piece of paper. It has no document value."

It didn't end there.

One day after Bahçeli shook hands with the DEM members in the Parliament lobby and took that photo with him, Cengiz Çandar emphasized that the debate regarding the summary transcript had been "overcome" and that "this situation did not affect the process," saying, "Without Devlet Bahçeli, this process could not have reached today's point. His standing up to congratulate DEM Party Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan in the Parliament lobby was not a simple handshake. This was a very important sign that the process is continuing and will progress," how about that?!

Even though a week has passed, no one from the authorities or the media has come forward to refute Cengiz Çandar.

Therefore, in the words of Ahmet Hakan, we do not know "if someone played a prank on Saygı Öztürk"; but it is clear as day that someone is trying to play a prank on the Turkish nation!..
