An 'Absolute' evil to the country and the nation!..

While wars are raging right on our doorstep and the world is being turned upside down, and we have even reached the point of “Save us, Apo” in the name of “fortifying the internal front,” an “absolute nullity” bomb has been dropped on the leadership of the CHP.

We are facing a grave situation that will affect the country, the nation, and the state in every sense—from law to democracy, from the economy to social peace. So much so that even Bahçeli, a partner in the ruling coalition, has asked Mr. Kemal to “renounce” his position.

First, let us note this coincidence:

The pro-government media announced that the “absolute nullity” decision rendered by the Ankara Regional Court of Justice would be uploaded to UYAP on Friday; however, this took place one day earlier, on May 21.

Exactly 29 years ago, on May 21, something else of importance happened; the Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court to shut down the Welfare Party (Refah Partisi) on the grounds that it had “become a focal point of actions contrary to the principle of secularism”!..

The Task of Transforming the Opposition

All legal experts are of the opinion that the “absolute nullity” decision is not legal but political, but let us refresh our memories step by step on how we arrived at this point.

Speaking at the AKP’s 8th Ordinary Grand Congress 24 days before the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Erdoğan spoke of the “dirty and intense siege surrounding Turkish democracy,” of the “distorted opposition mentality that sees every path as permissible to come to power,” and of “deceptions,” and after saying “we have an opposition problem,” he stated the following:

“While building the Century of Turkey, we will not shy away from fulfilling our duty to transform the opposition step by step. We will do this, as always, in the arena of politics.”

But that is not what happened at all; the opposition began to be transformed not “in the arena of politics,” but in courthouse corridors and prison wards!..

Again, days before İmamoğlu’s arrest; as if he had accepted the “co-presidency of the Greater Middle East Project (BOP)” during his mere 6-year tenure as mayor; as if he had stood by the imperialists in the occupations of Iraq, Syria, and Libya, had been subjected to Trump’s threats of “I will ruin your economy, be smart,” had turned the country into a warehouse for migrants for the sake of a few pennies, sold everything we had, and had been honored by Trump’s compliments of “We trust you in the region”; pro-government columnists ruled on how “dangerous” he is for the country, the nation, and the state as follows:

- “Ekrem İmamoğlu does not inspire confidence in Ankara!.. That living organism we call the ‘State,’ with its various institutions and organizations, looks at İmamoğlu with suspicion. His style of seeing every means as permissible to reach his goal, the intricate relationships he has entered into for his political advancement, and his political stance that never takes its eyes off global centers do not inspire trust.”

- “İmamoğlu has turned into a political figure who has lost his way, establishing opportunistic relationships with the outside world, capital groups, sects/communities, and Alevi and Kurdish opinion leaders. He has positioned Ankara as a ‘center of power that must be seized.’”

- “The indispensable conditions for the leader of 2028 are: not being a man, pawn, or apparatus of any foreign power or global structure; patriotism, resistance against terrorism and preventing the division of his country; loyalty to his flag, his country, the faith, traditions, values, and national anthem of his citizens; having a decent character, being respectful and honest toward others, not lying, and not compromising the independence of the country... [Regarding the possibility of İmamoğlu winning] Yes, we are afraid. For Turkey, for the future of this country.”

Ultimately, İmamoğlu’s presidential candidacy was blocked through “legal” means!..

This was the first stage of the “transforming the opposition” project, and with “absolute nullity,” the second stage has begun.

It is impossible not to recall these words of Erdoğan at the 2023 Judicial Year opening ceremony right here:

“One of the most effective ways to divide a society and split it into camps is to weaken the belief in the justice system. The trust of a society whose belief in the justice system has weakened in its state and institutions is also eroded. The emergence of such sedition only pleases the enemies of the nation and the country, and serves their interests; it causes Turkey to lose. Whether one is a politician, a member of the media, or an ordinary citizen; no one has the right to do this evil to the country.”

Now, is this not exactly the evil being inflicted upon and done to the country and the nation?!

Think about it, the “absolute nullity” decision is announced; half an hour later, the Minister of Justice makes a long assessment stating that this decision, “rendered by the court in an independent and impartial manner,” has “strengthened our citizens’ trust in democracy.”

The Minister had also recently said, “The current constitution has now lost its functionality.” Where the Constitution is declared “dysfunctional,” what is it that can no longer happen or be said?!

From Guardianship to Hostility

The pro-government media has already begun to write about the roadmap and goals of Mr. Kemal, who was placed in the CHP Chairmanship seat by the judiciary.

“He will not keep those involved in crime in the party... During the handover ceremony in 2023, he had warned Özgür Özel about many mayors such as those in Bodrum and Beşiktaş, but despite this, they were made candidates from a higher level... The CHP is not producing politics... The institutional structure has weakened... The most critical topic is İmamoğlu... The CHP is entering the greatest purification process in its history, and as a first step, an Intra-Party Ethics Committee will be established.”

Of course, he produced so much politics during his 13-year chairmanship that he lost every election he entered!..

Anyway, let us look at his relationship with Ekrem İmamoğlu, which is Mr. Kemal’s “most critical topic.”

Didn’t Mr. Kemal make him a candidate in the 2019 elections?.. And didn’t the pro-government media claim that Mr. Kemal would prepare İmamoğlu to replace him, and even that he had promised this?..

Didn’t Mr. Kemal explain why he chose him by saying, “He was a mayor I liked very much. I had a great belief that he would win the election and become the metropolitan mayor,” and didn’t he even ask for his candidacy from his family as if asking for a bride?..

“There Are Gang Members in the Supreme Election Council (YSK)” He Said

When the election that İmamoğlu won was canceled, didn’t Mr. Kemal react to the judiciary and the Supreme Election Council (YSK) as follows?

“A man you call a judge is not a man for sale... Are there judges in the YSK, or are there people whom the holders of power want to turn into subcontractors?.. At the point we have reached today, the holders of power have 7 subcontractor gang members in the YSK... 7 people went, knelt down, and kissed hands. God knows what promises they made, they ate forbidden food during the month of Ramadan... Since when has it been the duty of gang-member judges to plot against the will of the citizens?.. He who remains silent in the face of injustice is a mute devil. If there is injustice, it is our duty of honor to fight it... We must teach these gangs in the YSK a good lesson. Those gangs slaughtered the law, slaughtered the will of the nation, and disregarded the will of the nation... There is a legal murder here. The perpetrators of the murder also have an instigator. Both the perpetrator and the instigator are known... One must ask these judges, how will you look your children in the face, how will you look people in the face when you go out on the street?.. I entrust these gang members to the conscience of this nation.”

And while calling on everyone to vote for İmamoğlu before the second election on June 23, didn’t he say, “This is a very important line in terms of our Republic and democratic history. Because Ekrem Bey’s winning means this: ‘Despite all the pressure from the government, the people in the Republic of Turkey voted in favor of democracy,’ they will say. The reputation of Turkey and democracy will increase.”?

Likewise, for the municipal elections to be held in March 2024, didn’t he announce İmamoğlu’s candidacy for the second time as early as September with the words, “If a person is successful in a position, why should they be changed? Of course, he is our candidate.”?

It seems that İmamoğlu committed all this “corruption, theft, and deception” in just 1 year... Or perhaps Mr. Kemal never heard or understood it, and his eyes were opened thanks to the government’s “shaking”!..

Joke of the Day: The Path He Follows Is “Atatürk’s Path”

Since Ekrem İmamoğlu, whom Mr. Kemal declared his greatest “adversary,” has been legally liquidated, what does it mean that he has trampled on democracy and the law instead of “renouncing” and accepted “trusteeship”?

Because there are “bigger radishes in the bag”!..

While almost all political parties have united against “absolute nullity,” someone, whose name need not be mentioned, claimed that the path Mr. Kemal is following is “Atatürk’s path.”

Is someone who is the founder of TESEV, an extension of Soros, who purged all Atatürkists from the party during his 13-year chairmanship, who argued that “secularism is not in danger,” who made a name like Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu a presidential candidate, and whom Erdoğan has accused for decades of bankrupting the Social Security Institution (SSK), the one on “Atatürk’s path”?!

And in his first statement yesterday, didn’t Mr. Kemal state that the CHP is a party that founded the state and gives direction to the state, promising all citizens and party members to “restore the CHP to the codes of its foundation,” and saying “We must correct moral values”?!
