An old program for the New Party: Oh Kemal Derviş, if you've come, strike!

Let's not be unfair: There is no program here. There is just a pile where a bunch of slogans have been crammed: "New Party Program for a Common Future".

It is easy to access.

It is worth taking a look.

Of course, accompanied by a question: What does it mean for a party to declare today that it will remain committed to "contemporary social democratic values" and Western alliances like the EU and NATO? Other than being a threat to the Republic in itself, a harbinger of destruction?

If today's German and European social democracy is meant, which it probably is, there is a war party on the stage that harbors intense hostility toward Russia and China and does everything it can to ensure the war in Ukraine continues. This is a "thing" that has little to do with the old social democracy: A social democracy of the Willy Brandt type (who, it was known, worked with US intelligence during his time as mayor of Berlin, a fact that became the subject of Der Spiegel files decades later), which even had to curb its hostility toward real socialism during the Cold War, has long since faded into history. There is now an openly aggressive war party of capital on the stage.

If the New Party is determined in this social democracy, it means it will look for a place for itself in the war.

For example, there is not even a mention of Oskar Lafontaine, the last social democrat who seemed relatively close to socialism (at least). Neither the "Butlancılar" nor the New Party mentions this name. They are not even aware of it... We are talking about Turkey's social democrats. It is not too early to say that the New Party is dominated by cadres who would run from the Lafontaine line as if they had seen the devil. That is how it is.

Anyway...

To be more explicit: The New Party's program, and presumably its charter, does not have a new texture at all. So, how can the New Party, which has no novelty other than its name, create a line with this pile of slogans?

They will be called "Butlancılar". This is a careerist and vulgar team that should definitely not be taken into account and has no chance anyway. Let alone being leftists, it cannot even be claimed that they possess ordinary political morality. They are where they deserve to be... They will withdraw from the stage as the "Reis's" hitmen, hoping, of course, to cause quite a bit of damage for their "Reis"...

We are looking at those who claim to be "new".

FROM THE ERA OF ABDÜLHAMID III TO THE ERA OF ABDÜLHAMID IV?

Turkey is in turmoil and "this is just the beginning". A "damage assessment" cannot even be made, but the main opposition tolerates all the beatings of Abdülhamid III (those who wish can call him "Reis"), puts up with being tested by these scandals, and even thinks this is politics. We do not know if they are aware that all these beatings under the guise of law are tests. But the "Reis" knows and continues the test. As long as there is no mass reaction from the streets, these beatings will continue. The AKP government now stands on such daily tests.

Abdülhamid III, Reis, the AKP regime... Whatever you call them, if the New Party is to come to power after them—and the claim seems to be in that direction, and we can say this by looking at the strange salad called a program—only a piece of Turkey would remain from such a contemporary social democracy, and that could at most be called the era of Abdülhamid IV.

This would be an Afghan-style darkness.

We would experience the destructive result of nationalist and religious sub-imperialist ambitions (Neo-Ottomanism). The compilation called the New Party Program is unfortunately one of the "hallmarks" of such a course... A stopover, or rather...

Why?

Because there is no program here that proposes its own solution mechanisms, but a strange salad of slogans that is an average of Tony Blair, Gerhard Schröder, and Kemal Derviş. They are determined to pull the chestnuts out of the fire for big capital. We are obliged to ask the address to which this compilation, which has also been "stolen" and "processed" from some revolutionary texts of the past, a text that reminds one of Kemal Derviş so much, is directed.

What does that mean?

It is like this: They surely did not write this word salad, which is devoid of leftist content but full of "onions," for a "mass" of 90 million people struggling with poverty to read. They wrote it for the cadres or cadre candidates who could show this mass goals in line with a left-socialist-republican Turkey program, who could raise the country (secular, independent from imperialism, public-oriented and necessarily planned, and in any case enlightened) as a left-wing republic. They wrote it for those who will be poached from there. They are not entirely wrong: Because the heart, brain, and "aorta" of Turkey are there.

They are sure that they can drag the left behind these slogan fragments that are far behind even Ecevit. This reactionary and not-so-glorious work resembles the swan song in one respect. It is the finale.

Let's be clear: No good will come to our Turkey, which is dissolving, and our poor people from such texts. If these slogan salads come to power, a much worse, new (resembling Afghan shariaists), and significantly trimmed Turkey will emerge under the guidance of the AKP. We said it was a stopover...

There is, of course, a "program like a program" that will jealously protect the independence of the socialist left and the working class as much as the independence of the Republic of Turkey, that has completely broken away from big capital, is determined to expel imperialist centers, will raise Turkey again as a "unitary socialist state," and will liberate all ancient cultures and languages within, especially Kurdish, in this framework.

We must remind those who raise the objection "But that program does not yet have a large mass" of 1919. Was 1923 founded with a mass?

However, we cannot explain all this to shallow circles that have lost their balance enough to believe that they are filling the program gap by listing slogans like this.

It is understood that those who produced the text they think is a program are hopeful about the career-seeking circles in Turkey that are eager to get involved in all kinds of filth in the name of the left. They are right. There is such a community...

But there are others too.
