Deafening and blinding operations: Identity politics

This is a terrible destruction. We are having great difficulty in, to use an old expression, "comprehending" this reality.

Or rather: Our impoverished people, despite the wealthy religious figures in power playing their games right before their eyes, have not been able to understand that the deprivations they are experiencing are a catastrophe. Perhaps they do not want to see it.

Could it be that they are not hearing it either?

Could it be that they do not want to hear the noises of the destruction?

I think there is something else.

One day, when this "Abdulhamid III regime" collapses and is examined before the broad masses of the people under the heading of our "years of catastrophe," and when a reckoning takes place—because those days will come—it will also be necessary to find an answer as to why our people did not hear the sound, the noise created by this destruction, this collapse.

Why didn't we, why don't we hear that terrible cracking? The never-ending cracking?

Why didn't our people hear the noise of this last quarter-century of chaos?

Why couldn't they hear it?

Worlds are collapsing, the republic is being liquidated before our eyes, and this has been a slaughter lasting a quarter of a century... The public is silent. It bows to the daily tests of the government. Streets, schools, factories, workshops, hospitals, marketplaces, all public spaces are silent. Opposition figures of the "Özgür Özal" type are appeasers, the "let's not have any unpleasantness" type. The government is pleased. All the thieves are pleased.

There are two explanations for this deafness and blindness...

THE MAIN GREAT THREAT: IDENTITY POLITICS

Let us stick to the deafening. Either the sound produced by the destruction is very high, for example above 20,000 Hz, or the public's ear has been deafened to such an extent that it cannot react to the noise of the catastrophe.

Both are possible: The frequency of the noise of the destruction, the sound produced by the collapse, may be so high that the public cannot hear it. But the more likely possibility is this: The policies pursued have so blunted, or even paralyzed, the public's sensors that our people can no longer even express their most basic interests and can no longer perceive the operations directed against them.

In these deafening and blinding operations, religiousness, sectarianism, ethnicism, culturalism, and even sexism, etc., must play a major role. In short, "identity politics" covers up all objective/class interests, thus preventing the public from realizing its own needs, transforming these needs into demands, and, for example, hearing the sound produced by the crushing destruction in power.

It is not identities, but identity politics that are the great threat.

That is not the problem.

What is happening in Turkey is more or less known.

The problem is the extraordinary ignorance of the opposition in our country, whose minds work poorly, who think that the solutions to Turkey's problems lie in Europe, or in a more general conceptualization, in the "West," and who think, "If we behaved like those over there, the problems here would also be solved." In other words, the "sorry state" of the establishment opposition.

There is no solution there.

You can only find the source of the problem there, not the solution.

Therefore, the "very best" of the operations to deafen and blind the peoples exists in Europe, of which Turkey is a part, and especially in European Germany.

Let us draw attention to two things: First, in the Turkish media, with very small exceptions, we have not seen much news that can understand what is happening in German politics and the rise of this imperialist party to the right of the right called the AfD. Very different things are happening in Germany's Europe. Yet what is happening is not very different from what is happening in Turkey. There is no qualitative difference between them, except for the comfort zone brought by imperial remnants. But that comfort zone is also shrinking rapidly.

Second, new generations of politicians of Turkish origin are experiencing new versions of oppression to a great extent.

Example: Elif Eralp and the Berlin battles...

A "MANHUNT" IN BERLIN

Is there anyone watching the manhunt launched by the democratic media and politics against Die Linke (The Left Party), which managed to come out on top in the Berlin state parliament elections, and its candidate for mayor, Elif Eralp, and her friends?

No.

In European democracy, the mainstream media and the political class are no less behind Turkish reactionaries when it comes to slanders, attacks, and ignoring people. The Turkish version of the Eralps might be the Can Atalays. For now, what is being done to these people in Turkey is not being done exactly the same way in European Germany. But we are heading in that direction, and the AfD is not doing this right now. Not for now. It is certain that Alice Weidel will do it in the future, or at least try everything.  

However, the greatest ignorance and blunder is probably the polishing of this nationalist German party to the right of the right, called the AfD, as "anti-system, national," etc. This is the perception of circles that have long since turned into vassals of the AKP. It has nothing to do with it.

Anyway...

We spoke of deafening and blinding.

The most advanced of these operations are in the imperial centers.

The places where the younger generation, in particular, fled the Abdulhamid III regime and ended up, calling it democracy...

And much worse is on the way...
