257 events held at the Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center

The Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center has hosted 27 club events, 21 workshops, 7 commemoration days, 2 play readings, 2 projects, 33 visual arts exhibitions, 12 talks, 7 competitions, 2 trips, 7 terrace/children's concerts, 11 seminars, 1 symposium, 1 theater performance, 6 social activities, and 118 children's events since it opened in 2020.

In addition, with the facilities offered at the Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center, 52 seminar room allocations and 169 multi-purpose hall allocations were made for similar events.

Stating that they are proud to keep the name of the doctor and educator Türkan Saylan, one of the most important figures raised by the Republic of Turkey, alive at the Contemporary Life Center in Muğla, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Osman Gürün said that his fellow citizens from Muğla, from 7 to 77, have come together through various events.

'IT HAS BECOME A CENTER OF EDUCATION'

Gürün said, "The name of Türkan Saylan, who provided great services to our country as a doctor, educator, scientist, and a modern Turkish woman who raised 'snowdrops' on the path of Atatürk, lives on in a facility in Muğla that is worthy of her name.

Our Contemporary Life Center, which opens its doors to all our fellow citizens with its different features and brings them together, has become a center of art, cultural activities, sports, knowledge, and education since the day it opened. While keeping alive an intellectual who raised 'snowdrops' in the footsteps of Atatürk with the name Türkan Saylan Contemporary Life Center, it will continue to serve our city of culture and art, Muğla, with its features."
