5 people had lost their lives: Titan tragedy to be made into a film

The Titanic, which set sail with the claim that it was "unsinkable" and sank after hitting an iceberg on its maiden voyage in 1912, went down in history as the Titanic Disaster.

Five people who wanted to see the wreckage of the Titanic, located in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, set out on June 18 in vehicles named Titan belonging to a company called OceanGate, but lost their lives as a result of the vehicle's implosion.

Regarding this tragic event, which was recorded as the Titan Tragedy, the production company Mind Riot had begun working on a documentary titled 'Salvaged' about the disaster. Now, they are making a fictional film with the same name.

According to a report by Deadline, the film, written by Justin MacGregor and Jonathan Keasey, will tell the story of the five-day Titan tragedy, from its descent into the sea on June 18 to the recovery of the wreckage on June 22.

PRODUCER CRITICIZED THE MEDIA

Keasey, who is also a producer of the film, criticized the media's attitude during the process, stating, “Our film will not only honor those who lost their lives in the submarine tragedy and their families, but will also address a larger concern regarding the nature of today's media.”

The Titan submarine went missing on June 18, and a massive search operation led by the US and Canada was launched. Among the passengers were OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, 59-year-old billionaire Hamish Harding, 48-year-old British businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman Dawood, and 77-year-old former navy diver Paul-Henry Nargeolet.
