'A Midsummer Night's Dream' comes to life on the AKM stage
The Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), one of Turkey's most comprehensive cultural centers, will host Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," which will be performed in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Istanbul Philharmonic Association (İFD).
The Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) is hosting a special event for the 80th anniversary of the Istanbul Philharmonic Association (İFD). On June 24, celebrated in Europe as "Midsummer," the incidental music composed by Felix Mendelssohn for William Shakespeare's play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will be performed in its entirety for the first time in Turkey.

The Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Orçun Orçunsel, will be accompanied by the Rezonans Choir, directed by Burak Onur Erdem. In the event, where Erkan Kolçak Köstendil takes part as both an actor and director, Shakespeare's immortal work A Midsummer Night's Dream will meet art lovers as a staged reading.
