A new resource for legal practitioners: The Conscience of Justice: The Right to a Reasoned Decision

As a legal professional and Public Prosecutor of 32 years who has fought for the manifestation of justice, Karanfil states that he has observed the failure to sufficiently adhere to the right to a reasoned decision in judicial rulings and prosecutorial documents throughout his tenure as a significant problem. 

The work titled 'The Right to a Reasoned Decision,' published by Adalet Yayınevi, aims to comprehensively analyze the place of this right in Turkish law based on constitutional, statutory, and international legal foundations, its functions, and especially the problems encountered in practice (lack of reasoning, formal reasoning, insufficient/partial reasoning). 

The primary distinguishing feature of Public Prosecutor Celalettin Karanfil's book is that, rather than focusing on theoretical academic debates or abstract doctrinal analyses, it centers directly on the decisions of high judicial bodies such as the Constitutional Court, the European Court of Human Rights, the Court of Cassation, and the Council of State. 

Karanfil's work is not so much a theoretical book as it is an assessment that reflects the actual situation and standards established by high court jurisprudence, geared toward practice. 

This book claims to be a resource with priority on practical value, aiming to convey the importance of the right to a reasoned decision and the current standards and issues regarding this right in light of high court jurisprudence to all legal practitioners, especially young lawyers.
