Applications for the Bozcaada Jazz Festival have begun! How long will they last? Who can apply?

The Bozcaada Jazz Festival has been bringing music lovers together in the unique geography of Bozcaada since 2017. 

Preparing to welcome participants for its 9th edition between September 5-7 this year, the festival is awaiting applications from new-generation artists from all over Turkey who perform jazz, experimental, and improvisational music through an open call launched for the Salhane Stage. 

The festival is not limited to music alone; it offers its participants a broad experience through DISCOVERY events that are shaped around a different theme each year. 

IF YOU ARE AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR CAREER, THIS IS JUST FOR YOU

This year's open call is aimed at musicians who are at the beginning of their careers and want to make their voices heard. Musicians who want to perform on the Salhane Stage can get the opportunity to take part in the festival, which will be held with the main sponsorship of Paribu and the support of Kendine Has, Volkswagen, and Jack Lives Here.

WHO CAN APPLY?

-Musicians who feel jazz, experiment, and love improvisation,

-Musicians at the beginning of their careers or those starting a new musical journey,

-Projects that have original compositions and have found their own voice,

-Groups of no more than 4-5 people.

HOW TO APPLY?

-Fill out the online application form,

-Share performance videos (preferably live recordings),

-Add the social media accounts of the group and its members,

-Explain in a few sentences why you want to perform at the Bozcaada Jazz Festival.

UNTIL WHEN WILL APPLICATIONS CONTINUE?

Applications for the festival, which will take place between September 5-7, will be accepted until 23:59 on April 10, 2025. The results will be announced on April 30, International Jazz Day.
