Aram Kamburyan has passed away
Aram Kamburyan, a writer, researcher, and a well-known figure in the Armenian community of Turkey, has passed away. Agos Newspaper announced his death.
As one of the few individuals who produced works in Armenian, Aram Kamburyan was active in institutions serving the Armenian community in Turkey.
Kamburyan had worked for many years at the Foundation for the Assistance of Armenian Teachers in Turkey and was one of the prominent figures of the Armenian community.
Agos Newspaper announced that Kamburyan has passed away.
WHO IS ARAM KAMBURYAN
Aram Kamburyan was born in Istanbul in 1926. He studied at the Lusavorichyan, Hintliyan, and Pangaltı Mıhitaryan schools. After graduating in 1944, he entered Istanbul Technical University and graduated as an architect in 1950.
Between 1961 and 1978, he worked as a geometry teacher at Esayan High School.
He began his role as an administrator at the Foundation for the Assistance of Armenian Teachers in Turkey in 1974 and continued in this position until the day he passed away.
In 2002, his first book, containing his travel impressions, was published under the title "Pilgrimages and Travels." In 2005, his second book, "Roads: New and Endless," was published.
Kamburyan also prepared and published various translated works.
