Awards presented at the 28th Turkey-Germany Film Festival

At the 28th Turkey-Germany Film Festival, the awards have found their recipients. The Best Film award went to 'Hayat', directed by Zeki Demirkubuz. Demirkubuz was also the recipient of the Grand Jury Prize.

The Turkey-Germany Film Festival, which opened its doors for the 28th time in the German city of Nuremberg, concluded following its closing ceremony. Held between March 8 and 17, the festival hosted numerous guests, including figures from the cinema industry and artists.

Drawing attention with a program that emphasizes women and women's stories, a total of 37 films in the feature, short, and documentary categories met with audiences at the festival.

The Honorary Awards, given annually as part of the festival, were presented to this year's recipients, Hale Soygazi and İdil Berben, at the opening ceremony.

The awards, distributed across ten categories in the competitive sections, were presented to their winners at the festival's closing ceremony.

WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Feature Film Competition, chaired by former head of the Berlinale European Film Market Beki Probst, included actor Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, producer Bulut Reyhanoğlu, film and animation expert Prof. Lucia Scharbatke, and film distributor and curator Mikosch Horn.

As a result of the jury's evaluation, the Best Film award was given to Zeki Demirkubuz's film 'Hayat', while the Grand Jury Prize also went to Demirkubuz.

The festival's Short Film Competition jury, chaired by director Belmin Söylemez, included actor and director Ercan Karaçaylı and producer and director Andrian Oeser.

By the jury's decision, 'Protokol', directed by Berna Sitera Değirmen, was selected as the Best Short Film.
