BAFTA Film Awards winners announced
The annual BAFTA Film Awards in the UK were presented at a ceremony held in London on Sunday night. Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer won awards in 7 categories.
The UK's most prestigious awards, the BAFTA Film Awards, were presented at an event held in the country's capital, London.
Oppenheimer, which left its mark on the past year, was the winner of the night, taking home awards in 7 categories.
The ceremony, hosted by actor David Tennant, was attended by Prince William, who serves as the president of BAFTA.
The 3-hour film Oppenheimer, which tells the story of the creation of the atomic bomb, won awards for best actor, best supporting actor, and best director, as well as best cinematography, editing, and original score.
In his acceptance speech, Christopher Nolan stated, "There are individuals and organizations who have been fighting long and hard battles to reduce the number of nuclear weapons in the world in real life, and I accept this award in celebration of their efforts."
