Battling stiff-person syndrome: Celine Dion attends the Grammy Awards

Canadian artist Celine Dion, who has long been battling the incurable stiff-person syndrome, drew attention by attending the 2024 Grammy Awards held yesterday.

Dion, who took the stage after a long hiatus to present an award to Taylor Swift, experienced emotional moments.

Although the 55-year-old singer has put her singing career on hold due to health issues, she took the stage with the support of her eldest son, Rene-Charles Angelil, to present the "Album of the Year" award to American singer Taylor Swift.

'I FEEL PROUD'

Experiencing emotional moments on stage, Dion said, "Thank you, I love you all! I'm really happy to be here. Those who are at the Grammy Awards should never take for granted the great love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world. It is my honor to present the Grammy Award that was presented to me 27 years ago by Diana Ross and Sting."

The star's struggle to continue her career will be chronicled in a new documentary titled "I Am: Celine Dion."
