'Between Two Dawns' by Selman Nacar meets audiences in Russia
Award-winning director Selman Nacar's film 'Between Two Dawns' was screened for audiences at a film festival held in Russia. The films 'Champion for Us' and 'The Butterfly's Dream' will also be screened as part of the festival in the coming days.
The 2021 film 'Between Two Dawns' by Selman Nacar, who recently returned from the 43rd Istanbul Film Festival with the 'Best Director' award for his new film 'Hesitation Wound', was screened at a film festival held in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of Russia.
The film was screened at the Kabardino-Balkaria-2024 International Film Festival held in the capital Nalchik, under the auspices of the Turkish Embassy in Moscow, with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and organized by the Moscow Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), which also prepared the Russian subtitles.
'WE ARE HAPPY THAT IT RECEIVED AN AWARD'
According to the Anadolu Agency, YEE Moscow Coordinator Mehmet Ülker stated that Turkish-made films receive great interest in Russia, saying, "We are happy with the interest in Turkish cinema in Russia, with our films being shown in movie theaters and festivals in various cities across Russia, and with Turkish films receiving awards at festivals."
The film "Between Two Dawns" was also presented to cinema enthusiasts last week in the Russian capital, Moscow, as part of a series of Turkish film screenings.
Furthermore, the film "Champion for Us" will meet audiences on June 27, and "The Butterfly's Dream" on August 12 at the House of Cinema in Moscow. The films will be shown with Russian subtitles.
