Çağdaş Yaşam Republic Award presented to Ayşe Kulin
The 18th Çağdaş Yaşam Republic Award, presented annually by the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living (ÇYDD), has been awarded to journalist and author Ayşe Kulin.
The Association for Supporting Contemporary Living's 18th annual award ceremony was held at the Kültür University Bakırköy Campus.
The ceremony, hosted by Can Coşkun, was attended by ÇYDD President Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel, board members, branch representatives, and volunteers.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Yüksel stated, "We will not refrain from working for a contemporary and secular Turkey," while Ayşe Kulin added, "We will continue to produce, work, and tell stories for a more contemporary, brighter, and secular Turkey."
'WE WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE'
Author and journalist Ayşe Kulin, winner of the 18th Çağdaş Yaşam Republic Award, stated that this award is the most valuable of all those she has received to date, saying, "Today was a very special day for me. Because the Republic is a miracle for Turkey, and today I received the award of a miracle. We will defend this great legacy left to us, the Republic, forever. We will continue to produce, work, and tell stories for a more contemporary, brighter, and secular Turkey."
