Çağlayan Topaloğlu: 'The music industry has turned into a dump'
Known for songs such as 'Kalbime Gömerim O Zaman' and 'Aşk', Çağlayan Topaloğlu has released his new single titled 'Çıkartacaksın', written and composed by Serdar Ortaç.
Making a name for himself with his new single, Çağlayan Topaloğlu complained about the current state of the music industry.
Topaloğlu said, "Fast consumption is at its peak. That is why the music industry has turned into a dump. Believe me, I took a break from the stage for a while just because of this. During this process, I took acting lessons. At this point, I decided that it would be logical to carry out both jobs together."
WHO IS ÇAĞLAYAN TOPALOĞLU?
Çağlayan Topaloğlu was born in Istanbul in 1985. He is originally from Artvin. He is the son of singer Mustafa Topaloğlu. His mother is Hasibe Topaloğlu. He has an older sister.
In middle school, he became interested in the bağlama and taught himself how to play it. Over time, he turned toward Western music. He also received Western music training at the conservatory. He was interested in football. He studied at Akademi İstanbul for four years.
He completed his military service as a soloist in the Ankara Harmony Band.
Preferring to make popular music, unlike his father, Topaloğlu began his musical career in 2007 with his first single album, “Kalbime Gömerim”.
Çağlayan Topaloğlu, along with his cousin Okan Topaloğlu, revived Prestij Müzik, which was founded by his late uncle Hilmi Topaloğlu and his father.
