Deniz Arcak to donate proceeds from 'Sesimi Duyan Var Mı?' to earthquake survivors: 'May this pain never be forgotten, may it always be remembered'

Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes that occurred on February 6 and affected many provinces, described as the 'disaster of the century,' continue to have efforts ongoing in the region.

Singer Deniz Arcak has also prepared a song for the 1st anniversary of the earthquake.

While the music video for the song titled 'Sesimi Duyan Var mı?' was directed by Eyüp Boz, the lyrics were written by Arzu Tasçıoğlu, Ayşe İnci Coşkun, Beril Alakoç, and Deniz Arcak.

A music video was filmed for the song with the contributions of supporting individuals and institutions, and Arcak drew attention to the importance of the spirit of unity and solidarity.

Deniz Arcak announced that she would donate all copyright proceeds from the song to help earthquake-affected citizens.

'WE TRIED TO MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD'

Making statements regarding her new project, Deniz Arcak said the following about the process of creating the song 'Sesimi Duyan Var mı?': "We composed this lament following the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes last year. This year is the anniversary of that great pain; we came together with the aim that it should not be forgotten, that it should be remembered, that it should be a hope for people, and that it should be a hope, a consolation, or a voice for our earthquake-affected brothers and sisters there; everyone worked by putting their heart into it.

If there is any income, we made it to be donated to the earthquakes again. We set out with the aim of creating awareness, a reminder, a hope, and a light. By saying 'Is There Anyone Who Can Hear My Voice?', we tried to make their voices heard as much as we could. We cried while making it because whether it is the 1999 earthquake or last year's earthquake, it remains etched in all of our minds. We tried to reflect what we perceived," she said.
