Deniz Göktaş’s ‘Ölü Deniz’ to be performed in Edinburgh
Imprisoned comedian Deniz Göktaş’s latest stand-up show, ‘Ölü Deniz’ (Dead Sea), will meet audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, organized by TuzBiber.
Comedian Deniz Göktaş’s latest show, ‘Ölü Deniz’, has been included in the program for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, held in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was stated that the show will be presented to audiences as part of the festival through the TuzBiber Stand-Up organization.
It was reported that tickets are available for purchase via edfringe.com and the price has been set at 1.5 pounds. This amount corresponds to approximately 60 Turkish Liras.
Göktaş had previously released his ‘Ölü Deniz’ show, which he performed in Harbiye, on YouTube. It was stated that the show reached 13 million views on the platform in 3 weeks.
An investigation had been launched against Deniz Göktaş on charges of “insulting the president” and “inciting the public to hatred and hostility.” Göktaş, who was detained after returning to Turkey from abroad, was arrested by the court to which he was referred.
It was noted that an access ban decision had been issued regarding the show, but the video has not yet been removed by YouTube.
