Digital archive of 'Avrupa Kültür' magazine launched

An archive has been organized for "Avrupa Kültür," which was published in the virtual realm as a culture and arts news magazine based on contemporary Turkish in Europe.

Following the quarterly printed "Kültür" magazine, which was distributed to newsstands in some Western European countries, primarily Germany, between 2010 and 2011, it began publication with a design by Ömer Yaprakkıran. Yaprakkıran was also the art director of the printed "Kültür" magazine, which was distributed to newsstands.

The founders and supporters of these publications acted on the following "assessment of requirements": After a migration process that has long surpassed half a century, Republican Turkish must now have new publications based in Germany but targeting Turkish speakers in Western European countries. Cultural publishing that starts from Turkish and extends to German should be considered one of the fundamental tasks of the nearly 7 million Turkish speakers living in Western Europe.

The fact that Republican Turkish, as an established language of Europe, could be the carrier of many new, progressive, and creative intellectual products was the starting point of Avrupa Kültür.

The magazine archive can be accessed at the following address, featuring Ömer Yaprakkıran's original design and Fahri Erfiliz's digital arrangement:
