Director Engin Temizer passes away
Engin Temizer, who directed many TV series and films during his career spanning over 50 years, has passed away at the age of 76.
The news of Engin Temizer's death was announced by director Temel Gürsu.
Gürsu stated, "We have lost Engin Temizer, a valuable cinema worker who served as my assistant on many films for years. I wish him God's mercy and patience to his loved ones. May your place be in heaven and your soul be at peace, my brother."
WHO IS ENGİN TEMİZER?
Engin Temizer was born in Istanbul in 1949. He graduated from Pertevniyal High School. He entered the cinema industry in 1965 by working as a set worker.
He first worked as an assistant to Oksal Pekmezoğlu, and in later years, he assisted famous directors such as Atıf Yılmaz and Osman Seden.
He became a director in 1972. In the 1990s, he primarily worked on television series.
He also directed the 1995 series titled 'Yahya Kaptan', which focused on the War of Independence.
