With its release approaching, reviews for Dune: Part Two are drawing attention. While the film's story is praised in reviews, the consensus among critics is that it also leaves a strong emotional impact on viewers.
Regarding the film, which will be released on Friday, renowned director Christopher Nolan compared it to 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back', noting that he admired the action sequences and the film's complex narrative structure.
Denis Villeneuve, the director of the Dune series, spoke to GamesRadar, stating, “That is a comparison I would never dare to make. I think it’s a beautiful compliment because Empire Strikes Back is by far my favorite Star Wars movie. So, it’s like an incredible compliment coming from Chris (Nolan).”
Meanwhile, even before its release, the film has already received a 97% user score on the famous cinema website Rotten Tomatoes.
The Guardian newspaper, based on reviews of the film, described it as 'hypnotic, thrilling, and a monumental achievement in science fiction cinema.' Some critics claim that the film 'could be the best science fiction movie ever made.'
