American actress and singer Shelley Fabares has passed away at the age of 82. According to a statement provided by her family to the Associated Press, Fabares died in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 22. No official information regarding the cause of the artist's death was shared.

Born in Santa Monica, California, in 1944, Fabares began her acting career as a child. The artist, who was introduced to television screens at the age of 10, became widely known for her portrayal of the character Mary Stone in the series “The Donna Reed Show,” which she joined in 1958.
