Events taking place at CSO Ada Ankara this week have been announced

Events taking place at CSO Ada Ankara this week have been announced

As part of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra's Monday Concerts, Yusuf Çelik on cello and Tolga Atalay Ün on piano will take the audience on a musical feast.

The program will feature Cesar Franck's 'Sonata in A Minor' for cello and piano, and Sergei Rachmaninoff's 'Sonata in G Minor' for cello and piano. This special recital will be presented to music lovers in Ankara on Monday, March 4, at 20:00 at the CSO Ada Ankara Blue Hall. 

BURHAN ÖÇAL TRIO - EAST MEETS WEST

World-renowned percussion virtuoso Burhan Öçal will bring together piano masterpieces of classical music with oriental rhythms, accompanied by Ukrainian pianist Alexey Botvinov, considered one of the world's most important Rachmaninoff interpreters, and cellist Sedef Erçetin, who has been involved in globally acclaimed projects.

'Burhan Öçal Trio - East Meets West' will be presented to music lovers for the first time on Wednesday, March 6, at 20:00 at the CSO Ada Ankara Main Hall. In this concert, where select works by important composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, and Philip Glass will be performed with a completely different approach, an extraordinary musical experience synthesizing East and West will be offered. 

THE SYMPHONY OF WOMAN

The orchestra, consisting mainly of female artists under the direction of conductor Zafer Gündoğdu, will perform Turkish music works on Thursday, March 7, at 20:00 at the CSO Ada Ankara Main Hall. Soloists Zeynep Başkan and Şebnem Hassanisoughi will accompany the orchestra. 

PRESIDENTIAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA - KERSON LEONG

The Presidential Symphony Orchestra will appear before music lovers in a concert conducted by Matthew Coorey, featuring world-famous violinist Kerson Leong. While the first part of the program will feature Gustav Mahler's 'Blumine', the concert will continue with Erich Wolfgang Korngold's 'Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35'.

The orchestra, which will conclude the concert taking place on Friday, March 8, at 20:00 in the Main Hall with Anton Dvorak's 'Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95, From the New World', will provide the audience with an unforgettable experience.

ANKARA STATE TURKISH FOLK MUSIC CHOIR - THE WOMAN'S FOLK SONG

The Ankara State Turkish Folk Music Choir will express the Turkish tradition coming from centuries ago and the value it places on women from a social perspective in their folk songs during a special concert to be held in the Historical Hall on Friday, March 8, at 20:00. Ankara State Turkish Folk Music Choir artists Ertan Çıngı, Pelin Karakuş, Gülderen Yavuz, Senem Gül, Leyla Ünal, Sena Yıkıcı, Fatma Nur Akay, Yıldız Çam Özdemir, and Zeynep Koparal will take part as soloists in this meaningful event.

STATE POLYPHONIC CHOIR - BRIGHT NIGHT

The State Polyphonic Choir, accompanied by Jan Schumacher, Music Director at Frankfurt Goethe University and conductor of the Camerata Musica Limburg Choir, will perform a concert titled 'Bright Night' consisting of selections from the German Romantic Period.

The concert, which will meet with music lovers in Ankara on Saturday, March 9, at 20:00 at the CSO Ada Ankara Historical Hall, will present a program dominated by the works of Johannes Brahms and Franz Schubert.

In the concert, which will be accompanied by Filiz Balkız and Gülce Sevgen on piano, Johannes Brahms' work titled 'Ein dunkeler Schacht ist Liebe' will be performed.
