At the opening of the exhibition, District Governor Solmaz, Mayor Topaloğlu, and their entourage cut the opening ribbon. The protocol members then toured the exhibition area and received information about the paintings from artists Büyükkapucu and Tokaç.

In his statement at the exhibition, Mayor Topaloğlu stated that the true architect of the Kemer Municipality Culture House is the person in charge of the Culture House, Ramazan Kar, saying, “All the materials here belong to Ramazan Kar. This place used to be an old gendarmerie station. We renovated it and made it available for the use of local and foreign guests. Today, our 12th exhibition is being held at the Kemer Municipality Culture House. These are beautiful things. Some students from schools have come and are examining the paintings. I hope these will be a good example for everyone. Kemer also needs a focus on art. There will be more to come after this. I would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially Ramazan Kar.”

Artist Nilüfer Büyükkapucu stated that they have been taking watercolor lessons from İsmet Yılmaz since 2009, adding, “We worked for many long years, but there was no place in Kemer to open an exhibition. We were very pleased and proud that such a place was opened. I think it will be a beautiful place for Kemer,” she said.

Artist Tijen Tokaç explained that the lack of a Culture House was a major deficiency for Kemer, but that this deficiency has been resolved thanks to the Kemer Municipality, saying, “It gives us great pleasure to open an exhibition here. This is the first time we are opening such an exhibition in Kemer. I would like to thank those who contributed.”

One of the citizens, Nilgün Avcı, stated that she has been coming to Kemer for about 30 years and noted that she had not previously seen a place in Kemer where artistic activities could be carried out.

Pointing out that the Kemer Municipality Culture House and its garden are very beautiful for artists and art lovers, Avcı said, “This place can be developed and made larger. But it was a need for Kemer. I congratulate the Kemer Municipality. A step has been taken so that artists and art lovers can come together. I would like to thank those who contributed.”

The opening was attended by Kemer District Governor Ahmet Solmaz, Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloğlu, Kemer Chief Public Prosecutor Gamze Almalı, Kemer Coast Guard Commander Soner Tuna, Kemer Port Authority Head Mustafa Halli, Kemer G-Marina Manager Levent Tokaç, Yeni Mahalle Neighborhood Head Münevver Erkal, Kemer Municipality Culture House Supervisor Ramazan Kar, artists Nilüfer Büyükkapucu and Tijen Tokaç, and guests.
