Famous artist Sezen Aksu: 'I do not want to be in the spotlight'
Sezen Aksu wrote a song titled 'If Women Do It, They Do It' for International Women's Day on March 8. The song, performed by Bengi Şiir Umutlu, received over 25 thousand views within 24 hours. Aksu stated, "I no longer want to be in the spotlight; I want to pave the way for the youth."
Famous artist Sezen Aksu celebrated International Women's Day on March 8 with the song 'Yaparsa Kadınlar Yapar' (This is Istanbul), with lyrics by Sibel Algan and performed by Bengi Şiir Umutlu.
Speaking to journalist Nevşin Mengü about the song, Sezen Aksu said that this time she wanted to stay in the background and pave the way for the youth.

Aksu, describing Bengi Şiir Umutlu, who performed her song, as a special talent, said, "I no longer want to be in the spotlight; I want to pave the way for the youth."
In the music video directed by Yiğit Evgar, women of all ages come together on the streets of Istanbul, walking and dancing freely.
