Fazıl Say opens the third season of 'Classical Sunday' concerts in Üsküdar
Üsküdar Municipality's Classical Sunday concerts have begun their third season with a concert by Fazıl Say held at Nevmekan Sahil.
The "Classical Sunday" concerts, organized by the Üsküdar Municipality, have kicked off their third season with a performance by pianist and composer Fazıl Say. Art enthusiasts showed great interest in the event held at Nevmekan Sahil.
During the concert, Say presented a special selection of his own compositions to the audience. The artist, recognized internationally as one of Turkey's prominent artistic representatives, met with music lovers in Üsküdar as part of the open-air concert series.
In a statement released by the municipality, Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş expressed her satisfaction that the event has reached its third year. Dedetaş stated, "We believe that art is accessible to everyone. We care about ensuring that citizens of all ages can access cultural and artistic events without encountering any obstacles."
First launched in 2024 with the "Grab Your Chair and Come" concept, the Classical Sunday concerts aim to bring classical music to audiences through free open-air events, taking it outside of concert halls.
To date, names such as Cihat Aşkın, Serhan Bali, Murat Cem Orhan, Yalçın Tura, Teyfik Rodos, Erdem Sökmen, and Hasan Meten have performed as part of the program.
