'Freedom and Democracy Festival' begins in Saraçhane: Eid is being celebrated in Istanbul

On the first day of the festival, various activities were held for children in Saraçhane Park. With events such as play areas, magic shows, puppet theater, and workshops, children both had a fun time and learned new things. Workshops such as 'Nature Detectives,' 'Upcycling,' 'Democracy,' and 'Equal Rights' saw intense interest. In addition, Karagöz shadow puppet shows and storytelling sessions continued throughout the day. Traditional holiday treats such as cotton candy, wafer halva, and popcorn were offered to participants.

The festival, which began during the day with activities for children, will continue in the evening with culture and arts events. These events, which will be held in front of the Saraçhane Building, will be open to the public and free of charge. The İBB aims to provide Istanbul residents with a holiday full of culture, art, and entertainment throughout Eid al-Fitr.
