French author Mathias Énard is coming to Turkey
Mathias Énard, who was awarded the 2015 Goncourt Prize for his novel 'Boussole' (Compass), will participate in a series of conferences and talks organized by the Institut français in Ankara on April 17-18 and in Istanbul on April 19-20.
On April 17, author Mathias Énard will chair the jury composed of members from Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir to determine Turkey's Goncourt Choice, and will announce the selection at a press-open meeting to be held at the Institut français Ankara.
On the evening of the same day, Énard will participate in a literary talk at the Institut français Ankara alongside Ebru Erbaş, who won the 2021 Institut français Translation Award for translating the novel 'Boussole' into Turkish, and will deliver a lecture at Hacettepe University on April 18.
On April 19 and 20, the author will participate in three separate talks in Istanbul: the first two at Minoa Bookstore accompanied by author and translator Yiğit Bener, and the final one at Galatasaray University.
