Gabriel Garcia Marquez's lost novel 'Until August' to meet readers on March 12

One Hundred Years of Solitude, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Love in the Time of Cholera, the lost novel by the Colombian author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, known for his novels, will meet readers 10 years after his death.

Marquez, who passed away in 2014 at the age of 87 due to pneumonia, had requested that his novel titled En agosto nos vemos (Until August) be published after his death.

The book, which tells the story of a woman named Ana Magdalena Bach who visits an island every year on the anniversary of her mother's death, will take its place on shelves on March 12, 2024. The book had been kept locked in an archive at the University of Texas for 10 years. The book titled 'Until August' by the author, who is described as one of the best writers of the 20th century, will meet readers with the permission of his sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo Garcia Barcha.
