'Hamiyet' musical to take the stage with a farewell night in memory of İrfan Alış

First staged in 2023, the Hamiyet musical tells a profound story of a woman set against the political and social atmosphere of the 1980s. Hamiyet brings to the stage the story of a woman living in a working-class neighborhood, trying to cope with hardships and struggling to survive by taking refuge in her dream world.

Focusing on the inner world of Hamiyet, who is a songwriter and star of a music band in her dreams, the musical conveys her confrontation with the harsh realities of life in a striking language. Directed by Işıl Kasapoğlu, the play stars Aslı İnandık in the lead role. Captivating the audience with its music and stage design, Hamiyet has left an important mark on the art world.

On November 5, 2024, İrfan Alış, who was part of the musical's creative team and one of the beloved names of Turkey's alternative music scene, passed away. To honor the deep marks he left in the art world and his contributions to music, the Hamiyet team and many names from the art community decided to organize a farewell night worthy of him.

MEMORIAL NIGHT PROGRAM AND SPECIAL GUESTS

The event, which will take place on the evening of March 20, will be a musical feast featuring a wide cast of artists. Names such as Deniz Tekin, Dilhan Şeşen, Gülinler, and Melisa Karakurt will perform at the foyer concert starting at 18:30. The main event will begin at 20:30.

Artists who will accompany the band Peyk on stage throughout the night include important names from the music and theater world such as Teoman, Feridun Düzağaç, Bartu Küçükçağlayan, Can Güngör, Doğan Duru, Serkan Keskin, and Tuna Kiremitçi. Additionally, comedian and writer Deniz Göktaş will open the event.

At the event, both the Hamiyet musical will be staged for the last time and İrfan Alış's contributions to art and music will be remembered once again.
