Muazzez Abacı, the unforgettable voice of Turkish Classical Music, has passed away following a heart attack. In accordance with her will, she will be laid to rest beside her father.
Muazzez Abacı, who suffered a heart attack on November 5 while visiting her daughter Saba Abacı in the United States and subsequently had a stent placed, passed away on November 12 due to complications in her kidneys. Changes were made to the artist's funeral arrangements, and it was decided that her remains would be brought to Turkey.
With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Abacı's remains will be brought to Turkey, and a farewell ceremony will be held at the Atatürk Cultural Center in Istanbul on Sunday, November 16. This process is being coordinated by her daughter and her manager, Taner Budak. Following the memorial service, the master artist's remains will be taken to Ankara. After the noon prayer at Kocatepe Mosque on Monday, November 17, she will be laid to rest beside her father, Oktay Altıoklar, at the Cebeci Asri Cemetery, in accordance with her will.
