Hümeyra's songs come to life in a new album

The works of legendary Turkish music figure Hümeyra are being reinterpreted in a new album prepared with the contributions of 17 female artists.

Hümeyra's songs come to life in a new album

The unforgettable songs of Hümeyra, who began her music career in the 1960s, are being re-recorded by various artists in a project titled "Years Later: Hümeyra." In this special album, Funda Arar's rendition of "Hırçın Paramparça" met listeners on February 21, while Jülide Özçelik's version of "Ölüm" was released on February 28. "Dilber," performed by Ayşegül Aldinç, was presented to music lovers on March 7.

17 FEMALE ARTISTS WILL PERFORM

While the album features names such as Funda Arar, Aleyna Tilki, and Aylin Aslım, it also includes Öznur Serçeler and Şirin Soysal. & Ali Erenus, Serra Arıtürk, Vega, Güliz Ayla, Aslı Gökyokuş, Maya Perest, Sevda Deniz Karali, Duygu Üstünbaş, Özge Fışkın, İlkay Akkaya, and Buse Sinem İren are also bringing a fresh breath to Hümeyra's works.

This project serves as a reminder of the musical legacy Hümeyra has built over the years while simultaneously bringing together many talented artists. The album is produced by Süheyl Atay and Orkun Tunç, with Naim Dilmener serving as the project coordinator. Each song on the album, released under the Pasaj Müzik label, will be shared with listeners on different dates.
