According to an account shared by radio host Altekin Erginel on a program, Koyuncu spoke with Volkan Konak to ensure that the musical journey of Bölükbaşı, with whom he shared the stage, would continue. It was stated that Koyuncu asked for Bölükbaşı to be looked after.

According to Erginel's account, Koyuncu also advised Selim Bölükbaşı to work with Volkan Konak after he was gone. Following Koyuncu's death on June 25, 2005, at the age of 33, Konak offered Bölükbaşı the opportunity to work together.
Following this offer, Selim Bölükbaşı was part of Volkan Konak's team for many years and performed on stage with him. Thus, Koyuncu's wish turned into a long-standing stage partnership between the two musicians.
Bölükbaşı, who continued the musical journey he began with Kazım Koyuncu alongside Volkan Konak, lost the second important figure he worked with following Konak's passing. It was reported that in an event he attended later, Bölükbaşı expressed that he felt lucky to have had the opportunity to work with both artists, but also shared the pain of losing both of them at an early age.
