Legendary British rock band Wishbone Ash is coming to Istanbul
Wishbone Ash, one of England's long-standing rock bands, will perform a concert at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) on May 24.
According to the statement regarding the event, Wishbone Ash, which has inspired numerous rock and metal bands throughout its musical career spanning over 50 years, will perform its beloved tracks under the leadership of founding guitarist and vocalist Andy Powell.
Wishbone Ash, which last performed in Ankara last year, will play its popular songs such as "Real Guitars Have Wings," "Warrior," "The Pilgrim," and "Rock 'n Roll Widow" at the Istanbul concert.
FORMED IN 1966
Founded in the Devon region of England in 1966 under the name "Empty Vessels," the group soon began performing in London under the name "Tanglewood."
In 1969, after manager Miles Copeland led the group to change its name, the band combined the names "Wishbone" and "Ash" to adopt its current name.
The group has produced many works, including 25 studio albums, 11 live albums, five DVDs, and the rock documentary "This is Wishbone Ash."
