Metallica to perform in Saudi Arabia
Metallica will perform in Saudi Arabia for the first time next month. Metallica held its first live performance in the Middle East 12 years ago at Etihad Park in Abu Dhabi.
Metallica will take the stage on the opening night of the three-day Soundstorm festival, which will be held in Riyadh on December 14.
According to the report on T24; Metallica announced that they would be performing in Riyadh with the message, "We are not done with 2023 yet, because an incredible opportunity has come our way to perform at a major festival in a region of the world we rarely visit and have never played in before."
MORE THAN 600 THOUSAND ATTENDEES EXPECTED
Other artists scheduled to appear at the event include Pharrell Williams, Chris Brown, H.E.R., Black Eyed Peas, J Balvin, and Anne-Marie, as well as DJs Tiesto and David Guetta.
Organized by Saudi music giant MDLBEAST, Soundstorm has been attracting some of the largest events in the region and the world to Riyadh since its launch in 2019.
It was reported that more than 600 thousand people attended last year's Soundstorm.
