Nazım Hikmet document from MIT archives draws attention

The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has drawn attention by declassifying another document from its archives.

This document contains drawings, handwriting, and a signature evaluated to belong to the famous poet Nazım Hikmet.

Additionally, the document includes the date "1950" and lines from Nazım Hikmet's poem titled "Invitation" (Davet).

The lines taken from Nazım Hikmet's "Invitation" poem are as follows:

"This country, which stretches like the head of a mare from Far Asia to the Mediterranean, galloping at full speed, is ours...

With wrists bleeding, teeth clenched, feet bare, and soil resembling a silk carpet, this hell, this paradise is ours...

Let the hands of others be closed, never to open again, abolish the servitude of man to man, this invitation is ours...

To live like a tree, single and free, and like a forest, in brotherhood, this longing is ours."

This document has once again revived interest in Nazım Hikmet's literary legacy.
