Netflix has announced that it will end the practice of sharing its subscriber numbers every quarter starting in 2025. This decision caused a decline in the company's shares. According to Netflix's data for the first quarter of 2024, the number of subscribers increased by 9.33 million in the last three months, reaching 270 million, which indicates an increase above expectations.
According to the report in Webtekno, however, the company's decision to stop disclosing subscriber numbers was met negatively by investors, and shares experienced a 4.85% drop, with the share price falling to as low as 581 dollars.
