New exhibition from painter Ahmet Öcal: Simulation of Truth
Painter, poet, and cardiovascular surgeon Ahmet Öcal has met with art lovers in Istanbul with his latest work, 'Simulation of Truth'.
Artist Ahmet Öcal has presented his latest work, 'Simulation of Truth', to art enthusiasts. The solo exhibition, which opened at the Evrim Art Gallery on Saturday, May 4, 2024, will be open for visitors until May 24, 2024.
The artist's 25 oil paintings, as well as a special collection of 38 pieces created using a technique he developed himself—using X-ray films as canvases for the first time in the world—have attracted great attention.
ADDRESSES LONELINESS
In Öcal's works, it is observed that he processes the alienation that humans experience toward nature and their inner worlds, as well as universal themes, by fragmenting them.
Addressing profound subjects such as human loneliness and destiny in his figurative works, the artist offers viewers the opportunity to think and embark on an emotional journey through his pieces. The details and depth in his works reflect human existential conflicts and the reason for existence, providing an inspiring experience.
