'Noksan' to have its premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival
The world premiere of the short film 'Noksan', directed by Cem Demirer, will take place at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
The film 'Noksan', which he co-produced with Berfin Demirat, has been selected for the Critics' Week section of the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
In this context, the film's premiere will take place during the festival, which will be held from May 14 to 25.
'Noksan', which features Haydar Şahin in the lead role of 'Mert', accompanied by Şencan Aslan, Barış Yılmaz Gündüz, Aydın Erek, and Alev Kara, will be the only domestic production to represent Turkey in this year's festival program.
The Critics' Week selection, which has been held continuously since 1962 to reward new talent and features 11 feature films and 13 short films this year, has included names such as Ken Loach, François Ozon, and Wong Kar Wai in previous years.

In the film, which focuses on the search for meaning by 'Mert', who interacts with different people and entities amidst an inner crisis while working at an amusement park, Demirer delivers an experimental performance by pushing all the possibilities of the camera and cinema.
The 2022 film 'Mendirek', which marked the directorial debut of Cem Demirer, who began his career as a cinematographer, won two awards at the 29th Adana Film Festival.
