Oppenheimer censored

Christopher Nolan's 7-time Oscar-winning film 'Oppenheimer' has been released on Amazon's digital film and series platform, Prime Video.

It has been learned that the censored copy of the film, which was released in India, was added to the platform.

In the copy, which features public service announcements in English and Hindi during scenes where characters smoke, the warning “Smoking Kills” was added to the bottom of the screen.

The version of the film released on Prime Video also did not escape notice for the censorship applied to the scene where Florence Pugh is nude, which had previously sparked controversy during its theatrical run in India.

OPPENHEIMER FILM PLOT

Directed by Christopher Nolan, the film tells the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) and his role in the development of the atomic bomb during World War II.

Physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer was appointed as the scientific leader of the Manhattan Project during World War II.

However, he and his wife Kitty (Emily Blunt) could not have imagined that this decision would have such a profound impact on both their own lives and the entire world.
