The premiere of the film 'Suddenly' (Aniden), starring Defne Kayalar, Öner Erkan, Şerif Erol, and Esra Kızıldoğan, took place in Istanbul last night.
The premiere of the Turkish-German-Serbian co-production 'Suddenly' (Aniden), directed by Melisa Önel and starring Defne Kayalar, Öner Erkan, Şerif Erol, and Esra Kızıldoğan, was held at Hope Alkazar in Beyoğlu.
Supported by the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and written by Feride Çiçekoğlu and Melisa Önel, 'Suddenly' tells the story of Reyhan, who, in her 40s, suddenly loses her sense of smell and disappears to find herself.
Having made its European premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) and subsequently screened at the Vancouver International Film Festival, one of North America's most prestigious film festivals, 'Suddenly' held its Turkey premiere at the Ankara Film Festival, where lead actors Defne Kayalar and Öner Erkan returned with the best actor awards.
