Prison sentence requested for Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz guitarist Can Tunaboylu in court appearance
Can Tunaboylu, the bass guitarist of the music group Yüzyüzeyken Konuşuruz, appeared before a judge for the first time in the trial where he is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, singer Aybike Çelik.
Can Tunaboylu and Aybike Çelik attended the hearing held at the Anatolian 37th Criminal Court of First Instance.
The indictment prepared by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had requested a prison sentence of up to 6 years and 6 months for the crimes of 'intentional injury' and 'insult'.
Making his defense at the hearing, Can Tunaboylu, who faces up to 6 years and 6 months in prison, argued in his defense that he did not hit Çelik intentionally.
