Prepared by the Progressive Lawyers Association: Soma disaster becomes a documentary titled 'Karanlıkdere'
The documentary 'Karanlıkdere', prepared specifically for the 10th anniversary of the Soma disaster in which 301 miners lost their lives, will premiere on YouTube on May 13. Among those who wrote the screenplay for the documentary is Selçuk Kozağaçlı, the imprisoned lawyer of the Soma case.
The Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD) has prepared a documentary regarding the Soma disaster, in which 301 mine workers lost their lives in the Soma district of Manisa on May 13, 2014.
The title of the documentary, prepared for the 10th anniversary of the disaster, is "A Soma Massacre Documentary: Karanlıkdere."
The documentary will premiere on YouTube on May 13 at 14:50.

Directed by lawyer Derviş Emre Aydın, the screenplay was written by lawyers Melike Polat and Selçuk Kozağaçlı. In the promotional trailer for the documentary, the imprisoned lawyer Selçuk Kozağaçlı was featured through the use of artificial intelligence.
In the documentary, on the 10th anniversary of the Soma Massacre, the case's imprisoned lawyer Kozağaçlı questions the conditions that created the massacre and what happened at the moment of the tragedy.
