In their new exhibition, Ahmet Rüstem Ekici and Hakan Sorar shift their focus from their previous work on the relationship between body and space, turning instead toward traces and leaving a mark along the axis of death and permanence.
They work on the forms that images composed of words can transform into.
Thus, the transformation of the image—from mind to words, from words to image, and from image to 3D object—is blended with techniques such as video, 3D PLA, resin and clay printing, and laser engraving, meeting the audience as a human/machine output.
Described as a fictional journey inspired by archaeological data and the storytelling methods of their surfaces, the exhibition titled 'Rest in Pieces' can be visited at Bilsart until December 30.
