Muazzez Abacı, a beloved name in Turkish classical music, is receiving treatment in intensive care due to kidney complications following a heart attack.
Renowned artist Muazzez Abacı, who traveled to the USA last week to visit her daughter Saba Abacı, was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. A statement has been released regarding the health status of Abacı, who underwent an angiography procedure.
Her manager, Taner Budak, stated in a post on social media that the contrast dye used during the angiography caused complications in the artist's kidneys.
Budak's statement is as follows:
''Our artist, Ms. Muazzez Abacı, underwent an angiography and stent treatment last week due to a heart condition. Her treatment was continuing in a regular room. However, during check-ups today, it was revealed that the contrast dye administered during the angiography caused issues in her kidneys.'
'Because her kidneys are not functioning fully, her lungs have accumulated fluid. Consequently, she has developed breathing difficulties. Her treatment is continuing in intensive care. During this process, all our prayers are with Muazzez Abacı.''
