According to reports from Beyazperde, 'Saltburn' star Barry Keoghan will take the lead role in 'Amo Saddam,' a new film by 'Chernobyl' director Johan Renck that will bring the final days of Saddam Hussein to audiences.
HE WILL PLAY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER
The film is being adapted from Will Bardenwerper's bestselling book, 'The Prisoner in His Palace.'
Keoghan will portray an American soldier tasked with guarding the deposed dictator in the months leading up to his trial for crimes against humanity and his eventual execution.
Written by Darby Kealey, the film explores how the soldier grew close to Saddam, sharing the atmosphere of a bombed-out palace that had been converted into a high-security prison.
